12 oz spaghetti
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup (8 tbsp) unsalted butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions for al dente (about 8-10 minutes), then drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned
Remove from heat and toss hot pasta directly in the skillet with garlic butter mixture
Add reserved pasta water, 1 tbsp at a time, until sauce coats noodles
Season with salt and pepper
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving
