Ingredients
Scale
- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1–2 tablespoons cooking spray or oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- Combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onions, and ground ginger in a medium mixing bowl.
- Stir thoroughly until the vegetables are evenly coated with seasoning.
- Let the filling sit for 5 minutes so the flavors meld together.
- Drain excess liquid from the filling using a fine-mesh strainer.
- Place one wonton wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
- Add about 1 tablespoon of vegetable filling to the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the left and right corners.
- Roll tightly away from you to form a compact packet and seal the top corner underneath.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the lumpia chips seam-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Lightly spray each lumpia chip with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Remove when golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for 2 minutes before serving with your favorite light dipping sauce.
Notes
Drain the vegetable filling well before assembling to prevent soggy lumpia chips. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, and reheat leftovers in the air fryer for the best crispy texture.
