Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
10–15 fresh basil leaves
1 ciabatta loaf (8–10 slices)
1/4 cup balsamic glaze (alcohol-free)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Soft white bread (optional alternative to ciabatta)
Instructions
Preheat grill or oven to 400°F (200°C)
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Grill or oven-bake for 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked
In a bowl, combine mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil leaves
Drizzle olive oil over chicken post-grilling
Assemble sandwiches: layer chicken, mozzarella-tomato-basil mixture, then apply balsamic glaze on top
Wrap ciabatta slices around the fillings to form sandwiches
Notes
Use focaccia or soft bread if ciabatta is unavailable
Balsamic glaze can be substituted with honey-balsamic vinegar (1 part honey to 1.5 parts balsamic reduced by half)
Chill ingredients 10 minutes before assembling for better hold
