Ingredients
1 prebaked or homemade pizza dough (14-inch size)
2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
3/4 cup halal or vegetarian-friendly basil pesto
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt (if needed for dough)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
Roll out pizza dough and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone
Evenly spread basil pesto over the crust, leaving 1 inch for the crust
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly across the pesto layer
Top with shredded rotisserie chicken and optional cherry tomatoes
Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown
Cool slightly before slicing into 4 servings
Notes
Use a halal-certified pesto to ensure no alcohol is present
For a homemade crust: 2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 cup warm water
Add sliced red onion or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor
