Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
2 green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon olive oil to make the glaze
Season chicken thighs with salt and black pepper
Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat
Sear thighs 3-4 minutes per side until golden
Pour glaze into the skillet, coating the chicken
Transfer skillet to oven and bake 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through
Return skillet to stovetop, reduce pan drippings to thicken the glaze (1-2 minutes)
Brush thickened glaze over chicken before serving
Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds
Notes
Bone-in thighs ensure juiciness; range may vary slightly if using boneless
Marinate up to 12 hours for deeper flavor
Adjust honey to taste for a sweeter or tangier profile
Leftovers freeze well for 2-3 months
Use a meat thermometer (165°F/74°C internal temperature)
